Week 14

Happy new year! I went out with Wendy and Pragnya for dinner on New Year’s Eve and then we watched a bit of fireworks on the Pulteney Bridge.

Revisions are going okay. Studied a bit of proofs and Haskell before starting the revisions. The weather has gotten colder which is great.

Back to drinking French Press coffee after drinking instant for a month. There is a noticeable difference in taste, I think.

I tried Earl Grey tea at Laura’s house and I loved it! I am now drinking it every other day or so, with crackers. The taste is a bit too strong for me however. Maybe I should try Lady Grey next. I definitely like drinking something at the end of the day to unwind. Thinking about which tea to buy for the evening. Definitely not Camomile!

Read the first book in the Three Body Problem series. Love it! The last time I really enjoyed a book this much was Elon Musk by Walter Isaacson an year ago.

The idea that an advanced species will treat us equally is deranged. Have we treated animals equally?

I found Kurkere and Maggi in Sainsbury’s!! I have increased my Vitamin D dosage to 2000 IU a day. I plan to maintain it during the winter. I remember feeling angry in Bangalore a couple years ago when there was no sunlight constantly and my building had no terrace. I would walk around in the neighborhood hoping to get some sunlight. That might have been a desire to seek Vitamin D or sumn!
