Mathematics

I am 4/5 done with the first workbook of HELM. I realised halfway through that I am not learning anything new. In fact, I had done these same exercises in the first chapter of Maths: A Student’s Survival Guide.

Factorization is boring. Also the number of exercises in HELM are too repetitive. I sometimes feel as if I’m solving the same problem 3 times.

Looked at the material for the second workbook and it covers graphs. Again, the material here is very similar to the second chapter of the book I used earlier. I should have probably stuck with the earlier material. Now I am repeating my work across two workbooks.

The HELM workbooks progress similarly to the Survival Guide book’s table of contents.

Functional Programming

Didn’t start the second chapter of Functional Programming. I am closer to finishing the 3 chapters here compared to finishing the 3 HELM workbooks.

I’ll start the second chapter alongside the second workbook.
