I completed the first HELM workbook.

Functional Programming

I felt bored reading the second chapter of the book and decided not to continue.

I’m writing small programs using SML to have some fun. It feels like learning programming all over. Having to think a lot about recursion.

ML languages feel better than Haskell. SML and OCaml feel like programming, Haskell feels like maths. ML error messages are more readable and a big help to someone new to the language and functional programming in general.
